INTERACTIVE TUTORIALS
RecoverPoint was initially developed as an enterprise solution. When EMC adopted RecoverPoint as their sole built-in replication technology, product management decided to cater to a broader target audience. My team was required to provide a fitting documentation solution, and I was in charge of creating it. The final solution included these video tutorials, a quick start poster, and a quick start guide.
QUICK START POSTERS
I created this poster as a companion to the video tutorials. The goal of this poster was to help guide customers through the end-to-end process of installing and managing the RecoverPoint system. After creation, the poster became a sought-after marketing and product management tool, and has even been spotted on developers' walls throughout the RecoverPoint hallways. When RecoverPoint for Virtual Machines came out, I was immediately asked to create another poster for it.
QUICK START GUIDES
All consumers of information are not the same. Some want to read, others want to watch video tutorials. For those who prefer to read, this quick start guide was an alternative to the video tutorials.
TRAINING PRESENTATIONS
Slides are a great way to train a team, or a trainer. I love creating tutorials using slide presentations. I prefer Keynote to PowerPoint, if possible.
USER WORKSHOPS
The EMC World Conference is the premier educational forum for EMC customers, partners and IT professionals. The goal of these tutorials was to aid in the hands-on user workshops our team was hosting at EMC World. The tutorials were to demonstrate the real-world scenarios a RecoverPoint customer could face, and provide the resources and minimum instructions required to perform each of those scenarios.
